February 8th, 2010... Thanks to the Cook group for staying here at Sunset this last weekend, and a special thanks to the Plummer Snowmobile Club for staying here too. Thanks for teaching me how to play, (and stay away), from the game of "Moose"! It sounds like you had a great time up here. The trails are in great condition and with the new snow, and normal temps in the forecast, riding should be good for at least the rest of the month and into March. I am full this weekend but have openings for next weekend, and lots of mid week openings. Remember, all the cabins are half price for winter vacations! I am starting to get a lot of requests for fishing vacations, so if you are interested in a fishing trip or a family vacation for 2010, give me a holler! Let it snow! Thanks again. John |

GREAT FISHING!
We have the most ideal lake structure found in Minnesota for fishing
Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, and Crappie. Fishing from the
Ash River Trail gives you the option to fish Sullivan Bay, Kabetogama, or
Namakan very easily, each of which have their better
fishing times. Ash River flows to Sullivan Bay which flows to where Lake Kabetogama and Namakan come together, so the choice is yours. On a windy day there are many protected islands and coves to keep you fishing.
Our northern Minnesota waters offer the nation’s most serene
setting for fishing, camping, hiking, swimming, canoeing, and snowmobile as
you are surrounded by beautiful rock formations, quiet shorelines, tall
pines, and wildlife such as eagles, bear, deer, otters, loons, fox, and
timber wolves. |
forward some pictures of a few of the fish we caught Thanks, Larry 0. St. Paul, MN |
